Americans love freedom and their guns. US Politicians love grandstanding. Unless you live under a rock, you've noticed the recent heated debates regarding unthinkable gun-related crimes, and the US Politicians desire to disarm the populace. The Second Amendment to the Bill of Rights in the US Constitution guarantees the right to keep and bear arms, subject to numerous interpretations. Politicians are attempting to reinterpret the Constitution because that's what they do: They constantly pass laws that restrict our freedoms, so they can be re-elected. Recently, I noticed that politicians may have given-up their plan to disarm the populace by another method: Bullets. Is the debate over? No, it's multi-faceted.
The debates rage: How should we protect US Citizens? Should we encourage gun ownership or can gun control prevent firearm-related massacres? What do the statistics say? When I ran for office in 2002, I read a book from Dr. John R. Lott. His book "More Guns Less Crime" statistically proves that a nation of gun owners is safer than an unarmed nation. http://johnrlott.blogspot.com/
The facts: Our US Constitution guarantees systems that may be flawed, however these systems work. An armed nation may be a dangerous nation; however, it's also a nation of free people. Capitalism is the least efficient economic engine, it's also the most effective. Our legal system is a mess; however, we are still innocent until proven guilty. The caveats: Hand over your guns, and you hand over your freedoms. Embrace Socialism/Communism, and everyone shares in the misery, and starves equally. Throw away your guns, and politicians will throw-away our flawed legal system. We keep the politicians honest with our guns. All three of these systems are inter-related with our American liberties forever.
Thus, the facts and the statistics prove that almost all gun ownership is necessary for ensuring freedoms, our legal system, and capitalism. Please don't attempt to relate this evidence to your politicians, especially when they're grandstanding against gun ownership and capitalism.

Chris Rock, the politicians heard you loud and clear. When the politicians bought-up all the available bullets, they gained ultimate gun control. There are no bullets available to the general public in sporting goods stores. Debate closed.
I applaud the politicians for circumventing the will of the people without passing a single silly law. Our American Politicians are getting smarter and more mischievous. Beware! We have achieved 'Bullet Control/Gun Control' in my lifetime.
Once again, I'm not advocating that you should buy a gun or some bullets. And I pray for the families devastated by murderers, of all types. The Bible prophesies much of what you're experiencing.
I'm advocating that you work on your relationship with God. God will protect and keep you!
