Daniel 9 Timeline: Merlin Houzet's Daniel 9:24-27 interpretation.

The foundation of eschatology (study of the end times) is Daniel. If you're assuming that you can wade into Revelation and become an instant expert, you're wrong. Revelation is for experts of Torah (Moses), and the prophets. My advice: Learn the basics first, and then read Revelation.

Friends ask me Revelation questions all the time, expecting easy answers. Nothing in Revelation is easy! I'm a student of Revelation and I always cite verses from Torah and/or the prophets before any Revelation verses. Why? Yahushua (Jesus) answered every question by citing verses from the Moses and the prophets. Case closed.

In my book I cite Messianic Scholar Merlin Houzet for the most accurate Daniel Timeline available. His comments on the Seventy Weeks Prophecy are remarkable. I love this man as a brother in Yahushua. His research harmoniously drops-into other research proving signs in the skies over Bethlehem in Yahushua's life timeframe. Study F.A. Larson's "Star of Bethlehem" video: It harmonizes with Merlin's research. Since there is only one Ruach of Truth, timelines should harmonize into a unified message. Merlin's research harmonizes.

What I want you to realize is that there are succinct timeframes frequently listed in the Bible, like mile-markers. HaShem always hits hits time targets, even though humans have free will. It's awesome!

Please read the Bible verses below, and then read his interpretation by clicking on his link.

The Seventy Weeks Prophecy:

“Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and for your holy city for putting an end to the transgression, for making an end of sin, for forgiving iniquity, for bringing in everlasting justice, for setting the seal on vision and prophet, and for anointing the Especially Holy Place. Know, therefore, and discern that seven weeks [of years] will elapse between the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim until an anointed prince comes. It will remain built for sixty-two weeks [of years], with open spaces and moats; but these will be troubled times. Then, after the sixty-two weeks, Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing. The people of a prince yet to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary, but his end will come with a flood, and desolations are decreed until the war is over. He will make a strong covenant with leaders for one week [of years]. For half of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the grain offering. On the wing of detestable things the desolator will come and continue until the already decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.” Daniel 9:24-27 (CJB)

  1. followers always gush...I know I do. And "just the facts, Ma'am" is somewhat dry, don't you think? Nevertheless, if we approach the matter with clear eyes, and ears that hear, we will arrive at the desired destination....How's that for saying everything and nothing at all?
