"Why do people say that Jesus Christ is returning in 2030?"

"Why do people say that Jesus Christ is returning in 2030?"

Assuming His death and resurrection in 30 CE, then two thousand years later would be 2030 CE.

Come, let us return to ADONAI; for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has struck, and he will bind our wounds. After two days (the Hebrew letter aleph can mean 1 or 1,000), he will revive us; on the third day [millennium?] he will raise us up; and we will live in his presence. Let us know, let us strive to know ADONAI. That he will come is as certain as morning; he will come to us like the rain, like the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:1–3 (CJB)

You bring frail mortals to the point of being crushed, then say, "People, repent!" For from your viewpoint a thousand years are merely like yesterday or a night watch. When you sweep them away, they become like sleep; by morning they are like growing grass, Psalm 90:3–5 (CJB)

It is by that same Word that the present heavens and earth, having been preserved, are being kept for fire until the Day of Judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed. Moreover, dear friends, do not ignore this: with the Lord, one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some people think of slowness; on the contrary, he is patient with you; for it is not his purpose that anyone should be destroyed, but that everyone should turn from his sins. 2 Peter 3:7–9 (CJB)

“The New Covenant Scriptures record that Yahushua was sentenced to death on the charge of his claiming to be Yahueh on Passover Eve 3790, Hebrew Calendar [or 30 CE]

The year 3790 fell within range of the most recent Shnat Shmitah=Year of Release, Sabbatical Year 3787]: It is truly amazing that Yahushua's final year fell within a 45-month range of the most recent Shnat Shmitah=Year of Release, Sabbatical Year] on 10th Tishrei [Yom Kippur] 3787 (Monday, 29th September 26 CE) and was preceded by the Shabbath Shuva [Sabbath of Return]. Yahushua was “about” 30 years old (Luke 3:23) at this time and it is probable that the Scripture passage He read was chosen to synchronize with the Shnat Shmitah (Yeshayahu 61:1, 2a, Luke 4:16-22). Thus the commencement of His ministry at Rosh Ha Shanah in the year 3787 would place the ministry of Yahushua as occurring within a historical time-frame to synchronize with the terminus ad quem of the final 69th week of Daniel 9:24-27 within which the unique Pesach-HaMatzah week would fall.” Merlin Houzet
