Eschatology is known as the study of the end times.

Most people didn’t study eschatology until the Reformers, like John Wycliffe and Jan Hus, started translating the Bibles into people’s native languages in the fourteenth century and speculation started.

Most Reformers believed the pope was the Antichrist. That was most of their eschatology.

In the 1830’s many groups witnessed the 1833 Meteor Shower in upstate New York and assumed the end of days was going to happen soon. They were wrong.

Since the 1830’s the concept of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture has become a dominant viewpoint within competing eschatologies. Most of these eschatologists have believed and taught that Rome will become the dominant power working closely with European Kings and the Antichrist.

The first problem with this theory is the Greek word hora, or hour. The word hora occurs four times in Rev. 17–18. Transferal of power from the Ten to the Antichrist needs to occur in one hour.

That means a bunch of European Kings need to gather power quickly and hand it over to the Antichrist in exactly one hour. That’s a silly thought!

The next problem is who has the power.

Look around you for who is persecuting the world. Is it Rome or a consortium of Big Tech and Big Governments?

My opinion is that the Ten Horns of Daniel 7–8 and Revelation 13–17 are Big Tech. Think of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Google, and others as your tech overlords. They monitor and report on everything you do. They have the power to control you, make you take the Mark of the Beast and turn over power to the Antichrist in one hour.

Let’s apply this to scripture:

9 This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven hills on which the woman is sitting; also they are seven kings —

10 five have fallen, one is living now and the other is yet to come; and when he does come, he must remain only a little while.

11 The beast which once was and now is not is an eighth king; it comes from the seven and is on its way to destruction.

In the 1990’s, if you requested a domain name, you would need to apply to Seven Kings. Your approval would come from Seven Gods. Those were the mysterious seven kings.

At present there are thirteen DNS (Domain Name Servers) worldwide. They control the internet. Mark my words, they will collapse down to ten in a few years. The ten DNS will work with Big Tech to control all activities worldwide.

Watch Berlin for strange activities. Watch Pope Francis for False Prophet Activities. But, ignore sleepy old European Kings because they won’t factor into the end times. Big Tech will be your worst enemy in the near future.

Angels in the Hebrew or Greek are messengers. They deliver messages to humans. Sometimes humans are messengers delivering messages from God. Sometimes we call those people angels as in Revelation 2–3 in the seven churches and sometimes we call them prophets.

Real heavenly angels have a hierarchy. Michael is often referred to as the top angel, but there could be others at his rank or above him. Michael is a Cherubim, a close angel to God.

The Satan was a heavenly Cherubim too. Once a long time ago, he stood in the face of God. Then, he fell.

Although the Satan remains nameless throughout the Bible, we know his job title is being our adversary after he fell, yet he retained some of his former brilliance from formerly being so close to God.

“How did you come to fall from the heavens, morning star [KJV-Lucifer, Hebrew-Heylel-a name? a shiny one], son of the dawn [ben shachar]? It is my contention that the Satan accuses us day and night. He’s a snitch. Snitches belong in ditches. He retains his beauty and brightness even after his fall.

The progression:

The Four Horsemen come first, resembling Birth Pangs from Matthew 24. Look around you. The world is convulsing like its getting ready for a birth. The Four Horsemen are part of the Seven Seals, the first judgments in Revelation.

If my biblical theories are correct, the first Seal of Revelation opened years ago in 1967, as the Spirit of a Destroyer was unleashed against Western civilization. The first Seal sign was White and a Bow, a symbol of man's strength, being bent(!) like Jeremiah 51:1-3 states, with no arrows, as in no prodigy, and a cheap stephanos crown. (Revelation 6:1-2)

The Second seal opened 9-11-2001, and commenced with the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, east of Jerusalem, in 2001–3. The Second Seal Sign is Red and War, with a standard Machaira (Greek-Strong’s #3162) short sword. This begat a never-ending war against Muslim tribes. Only the Messiah can end it.

When he broke the second seal [9-11-2001], I heard the second living being say, “Go!” Another horse went out, a red one; and its rider was given the power to take peace away from the earth and make people slaughter each other [commencing in 2003]. The next player to assault us is the False Prophet. Most think he is Pope Francis. He will foment creating a totalitarian state with ten Big Tech Kings enforcing his edicts. Increasing asteroid devastation will occur during his reign as we convulse toward a one world government. Apophis is due just after the mid-point of the False Prophet’s reign.

You won’t notice the final one world government and the Antichrist until the mid-point of the final seven years.

It depends. Personally, I love the Book of Daniel!

Caveat: Most Christians don’t read their Bibles. Only a few read Revelation, and that list includes most Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran and mainline churches.

I have Orthodox Jewish friends that have memorized vast sections of the Torah (Books of Moses), but they don’t read the Book of Daniel. Some Rabbis cite it, but most don’t read it. Why?

Rabbis realize there is a timeline built into Daniel 9:24-27 that starts during the second edict of Artaxerxes on Passover Saturday, April 2, 446 BCE (14 Nisan 3315) that ends exactly on April 8, 30 CE (17 Nisan 3790). Daniel’s count works perfectly. If you reject that Messiah, it’s troublesome, so the book must be overlooked.

I have friends that are eschatologists (study of the end of days), and they believe understanding Daniel is the foundation of their research. Revelation sounds like a folk tale without Daniel.

Only a few of us read English, Hebrew and Greek, and understand that the Septuagint (LXX) can be used a a tool to unite the whole Bible, if used properly.

Why do I love the Book of Daniel?

Daniel holds amazing prophecy and there is a chiastic structure linking Daniel with Revelation.

Daniel is the only book that accurately prophesied the kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome rising and falling in order during the supposed quiet period between the prophets and the fall of the Second Temple. Daniel has two recitations in chapters 2 and 7 that paint wonderful pictures that can be applied to the pictorial language used in Revelation. It is the foundation for understanding Revelation better.

Daniel 7:7–8, 24–25 describes ten horns rising out of the fourth beast. Revelation 13:1–2, 12–13 describe the same ten horns.

If you look around you, you’ll notice ten pervasive tech giants that enforce our behavior and discipline us when we stray. Those are the ten horns of Daniel and Revelation.

Timing: If you believe in the pattern of Daniel 9:24–27 of seventy times seven, which is four hundred and ninety years, then observe this pattern.

70 CE (fall of Jerusalem) plus four hundred and ninety years brings us to Justinian 1, the Last Roman in 560–565 CE as his Byzantine Nation is faltering and he is dying.

560 CE plus four hundred and ninety years brings us to 1050–1053 CE when the Eastern Orthodox Church split from the Roman Catholic Church.

1050 CE plus four hundred and ninety years brings us to 1540 CE when Suleiman’s troops worked under a Pesach-Sukkot-Pesach-Sukkot Lunar Tetrad Eclipse Pattern sealing the gate so that only the Messiah could enter:

Is Idolatry and Heresy the same?

 

Yes.

We should define heresy:

Heresy, theological doctrine or system rejected as false by ecclesiastical  authority. The Greek word hairesis (from which heresy is derived) was originally a neutral term that signified merely the holding of a particular set of philosophical opinions. (Brittanica)

I’m arguing that most societies view marriage as a lifelong commitment involving monogamy. Both parties and their families agree to these terms and then the couple is married.

Let's say you marry someone and commit to them forever. You establish a contract between you two that you will be monogamous. Then, one of you has an affair. That’s heresy in regards to your contract and public promises that are contrary to your society’s philosophical opinions.

Per idolatry, I’m arguing that everyone, including islanders or isolated groups without a written code, have a knowledge of right and wrong. Universally, everyone realizes that if you marry your sister, your children will be deformed. There are other caveats generally accepted. Every competent civilization has some level of morality.

For God does not show favoritism. All who have sinned outside the framework of Torah will die outside the framework of Torah; and all who have sinned within the framework of Torah will be judged by Torah. Although most modern civilizations don’t understand ancient idolatry, it is prevalent in many tribal circumstances.

In all cases, people realize figurines of wood and stone can’t create the heavens and the earth, but some people worship these figurines anyway.

Replacing an all powerful God with one that is formed out of wood and stone is the same thing as replacing the one you promised to be faithful to for your whole life.

Some call it guilt. Some call it conscience. Whatever it is, we all have it.

Remote islanders have an ethical code, and they will be judged by that code. We, who read the Bible will be held to a higher code.

Everyone has an eschatology (study of end days). Even a-millennial adherents have an eschatology. Please note, most Roman Catholics and Lutherans teach an a-Millennial eschatology, meaning they believe we’re in the one thousand year millennium right now (I don’t believe them either).

Most Christians across the world ignore Revelation. Most Lutherans and Roman Catholics impugn it.

I find it interesting that two of the experts that have posted answers are Lutherans. Luther loathed Revelation and Jews. His followers have regarded it as unreadable Chiastic Poetry. Luther wanted Revelation banned from the Bible.

Luther regarded the Book of James (a Jew named Ya’akov) as an: “epistle of straw,” because it sounded too Jewish.

Germans celebrated Luther’s Birthday by burning Jew’s home and synagogues in Germany on Nov. 10, 1938. Luther wrote, “Jews are a serpent's brood and one should burn down their synagogues and destroy them.”

Another Jew named Yochanon wrote a few Bible Books, including Revelation.

Revelation begins with a description of Yochanon being called to heaven for a meeting. Then, it describes seven Messianic Fellowships. Afterward, the storyline reverts to heaven where the Seven Seals need to be opened to release the Seven Trumpet (judgements) and the Seven Bowls (judgements). At the end, the good and the bad are judged and everyone receives what they deserve as they move into a new age.

There are no exact biblical descriptions of when these events occurred or will occur.

Most modern eschatologists regard a time where nothing needs to occur (Doctrine of Imminence) and then the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, followed by the Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets and Seven Bowls opening during the final seven years of this present age, preferably during the Time of God’s Wrath, that in their estimation is close to the end of the final seven years.

There are many Pre-Wrath adherents. They believe in a Rapture before the Wrath of God hits the earth.

According to Post-Tribulation Rapture-adherent Irvin Baxter, “The book of Revelation is not in chronological order. The seals are the long story, the trumpets are the short story, and the vials are the real short story.”

My feeling is that Yochanon wrote the Book of Revelation as mostly chronological with narrative breaks. It reads like Moses wrote Torah.

Six of the Seven Seals open like the Matthew 24 Birth Pangs before the final seven years. The 144,000 are sealed and set aside and consecrated like First Fruits are in the Bible. Then, the Seven Trumpets open with a narrative break from Revelation 10 to 11:14–19 and resume from chapter 12 to 15. Why does any of this matter? Because the world has been falling apart for over fifty years, but our implosion seems to be hastening. Rather than preaching that Revelation is silly Jewish poetry, we should be aware the Bible is becoming very real and personal.

I believe its time to wake up and smell the coffee. The Third Seal of Revelation seems to be increasing and the Forth Seal is set to open soon.

What has been regarded as chiastic fairy tales may drop like burning asteroids into your laps. What happened to Sodom and Egypt could occur again.

In 1833 a pastor named John Nelson Darby fell off his horse, hit his head, and created the Doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Saints.

According to theologian John MacArthur, there are no verses that directly state a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, but he fervently believes it will occur that way.

Since 1833, many groups have predicted Rapture dates to no avail.

In 1843 and 1844 a group called the Millerites determined the biblical Rapture would occur. They waited patiently and nothing happened. That group disbanded, but some kept up the end time’s postulating becoming known as the Seventh Day Adventists (SDA’s). Their prophet was Ellen White.

The term “Investigative Judgment” is the SDA’s way of blaming God for missing their prediction.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses have many failed predictions, including 1874, 1914, 1925, 1938, 1942, 1975, 1984 and before 2000. They were wrong each time.

Edgar Whisenant predicted the rapture would occur in 1988, based on forty years from 1948 (when Israel was founded), sometime between September 11 and the 13th. Edgar doubled down in 1989, but was wrong again.

I saw billboards paid for by Harold Camping that the Rapture would occur May 21, 2011.

There are many predicting a Pre-Tribulation Rapture will occur nearly every day of the year. They drive us to distraction. Please don't give these errant date setters any money.

When things get bad, please don’t listen to those people, and take this advice:

Your dead will live, my corpses will rise; awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is like the morning dew, and the earth will bring the ghosts to life. Everyone has an eschatology (study of end times); whether their version of death is a dirt nap, some celestial consciousness or a biblical explanation. I cite biblical eschatology like an ancient Jew would view it, but I could be wrong too.

Most Jews refuse to read Daniel and most Christians refuse to read Revelation as scripture, so both miss the mark. Some people overly spiritualize Daniel or Revelation or consider them to be chiastic poetry. That’s sad.

Let’s start out with the Christian version of the Antichrist. He’s anti-nomos (man of sin) in the scriptures, which means he loathes God’s Torah (Moses’ Writings). Christians don’t understand that. Most Christians don’t read the Tanakh, their Old Testament. That’s like building a building without a proper foundation. They tend to dwell on him and omit other key end time’s players. The supposed Antichrist is described vaguely in the Bible, and is listed as a Beast, a man of sin or a Little Horn in Daniel.

At times, the Bible is referring to the Beast or Little Horn as a man, but he seems to rule a system too. We should always consider that the language is purposely vague, so it could be either.

“While I was considering the horns, another horn sprang up among them, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. In this horn were eyes like human eyes and a mouth speaking arrogantly. “As I watched, thrones were set in place; and the Ancient One [God] took his seat…

…Then the court was convened, and the books were opened. “I kept watching. Then, because of the arrogant words which the horn was speaking, I watched as the animal was killed; its body was destroyed; and it was given over to be burned up completely. Daniel’s other version of the Little Horn:

Out of one of them came a little horn which grew extremely big in the directions of the south and east, and in the direction of the Glory. It grew so great that it reached the army of heaven; it hurled some of the army and the stars to the ground and trampled on them. The first said to me, “Two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, after which the sanctuary will be restored to its rightful state.”

Yes, it even considered itself as great as the prince of the army; the regular burnt offering was taken away from him, and the place of his sanctuary was thrown down. Through sin, the army was put in its power, along with the regular burnt offering. It flung truth on the ground as it acted and prospered.

The first said to me, “Two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, after which the sanctuary will be restored to its rightful state.”

The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true; but you are to keep the vision secret, because it is about days in the distant future [today?].” Daniel 8:9–10, 11–12, 14, 26 (CJB)

It is my opinion that the Beast or Little Horn will arrive during the last three and one-half years of the final seven years, and that the False Prophet will arrive and coalesce the peoples years before his arrival. The Two Witnesses arrive before the final seven years and exit just prior to the Seventh Trumpet blast close to the mid-point of the seven years in Revelation 11:14 The second woe has passed; see, the third woe is coming quickly. They will verbally joust with the False Prophet, but not overlap with the Beast.

Who are the Two Witnesses? I would say they are literal or figurative Moses and Eliyahu (Elijah). They are mentioned first as two pillars and two olive trees:

As for the capitals on the two columns, there were 200 pomegranates in rows around each capital near the molding by the netting. He erected the columns in the hall of the temple; on erecting the right column he gave it the name “Yakhin,” and on erecting the left column he named it “Bo‘az.” On the tops of the columns were shapes like lilies; thus the work of the columns was finished. 1 Kings 21:20–22 (CJB)

The Bible requires two or three credible witnesses testify in a court. Since no one on earth is biblically Tahor (ritually pure), we need two men that have no corpse contamination or other issues to restart the Temple Mount prayers and other end time’s requirements. They must arrive before the final seven years.

It is my belief that the Abrahamic Accords will strengthen over time and become a major diplomatic force. The Two Witnesses should arrive just a few days or months before the Abrahamic Accords are finalized. They will preach for 1,260 days until just prior to the mid-point of the seven years.

“Also I will give power to my two witnesses; and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two menorahs standing before the Lord of the earth. If anyone tries to do them harm, fire comes out of their mouth and consumes their enemies — yes, if anyone tries to harm them, that is how he must die. They have the authority to shut up the sky, so that no rain falls during the period of their prophesying; also they have the authority to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want. Just as we aren’t sure of when the actual decree was given by Medo-Persia to rebuild the “streets and walls of Jerusalem,” (Daniel 9:25) because there were three decrees, we may not realize which Abrahamic Accord kicks off the final seven years.

My answer won’t be what you expect.

As I read the Bible in both Greek and Hebrew, I see strong evidence for sacrifices or offerings starting again, but I see no Third Temple until after the Messiah arrives.

Let’s analyze the Hebrew and Greek words used in key passages to determine what we will see.

Beit is the Hebrew word for house or temple. Prophetically the Temple is referred to as the Lebanon because of the cedar wood needed to build it. In key Bible passages the Hebrew word Heikhal, which could mean tent, wedding chuppah (covering), or palace.

Sound of tumult from the Ir, a sound from the Heikhal [most mistranslations use Temple], a sound of Hashem that rendereth gemul (retribution) to His enemies. Isaiah 66:6 (OJB)

In the Messianic Scriptures, the two Greek words used are Heiron for Temple or Temple buildings on the Temple Mount and Naos for the Holy of Holies, whether in Heaven or on the earth.

Heiron is used frequently in many books, but only Naos is used in 2 Thessalonians 2 and ALL of Revelation. This means we’re not talking about a building during the final seven years of tribulation. We’re talking about a reserved Holy area where only the High Priest goes into and only on Yom Kippur.

Let no one in any way lead you astray, because, unless the Merid (Rebellion, Revolt, the [Anti-Moshiach] Shmad Betrayal Defection of Apostasy, the Azivah Abandonment) Desertion comes rishonah (first), and the Apocalypse of the Ish HaMufkarut (Man of Lawlessness), the Ish HaChatta’ah Ben HaAvaddon (Man of Sin, Son of Destruction Anti-Moshiach) is unveiled. I’m referring to the one setting himself against and exalting himself AL KOL EL (above every G-d, DANIEL 11:36), above all that is given the appellation "G-d" or object of worship, with the result that in the Beis Hamikdash Heikhal he sits down on the MOSHAV ELOHIM (throne of G-d, YECHEZKEL 28:2), proclaiming that he himself is Elohim... 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4 (OJB)

There are multiple Bible passages that are problematic concerning fallen angels and their fates. We know they fell and are chained in Tartarus, deep beneath the earth. We don’t know an exact count of how many fallen angels are imprisoned beneath the earth.

We have the whole Book of 1 Enoch. And…

And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. Jude 1:6

This is why it says, "After he went up into the heights, he led captivity captive and he gave gifts to mankind." Now this phrase, "he went up," what can it mean if not that he first went down into the lower parts, that is, the earth? The one who went down is himself the one who also went up, far above all of heaven, in order to fill all things. Ephesians 4:8–10 (CJB)

For the Messiah himself died for sins, once and for all, a righteous person on behalf of unrighteous people, so that he might bring you to God. According to 1 Enoch, these fallen angels will be released for a short time at the end of the age. Here is that time:

The Bible is one coherent message from multiple authors. It is meant to be mixed.

Most Christians regard their Messiah as a great Hippie Philosopher. Most Orthodox Jews regard their Messiah as an imperative end times savior and one that walks and preaches pure Torah.

What does the Bible say? Let’s examine two traditional (Orthodox) Jewish Sabbaths from the first century (this pattern occurs the same way today).

but the others went on from Perga to Pisidian Antioch, and on Shabbat they went into the synagogue and sat down. After the reading from the Torah [five books of Moses] and from the Prophets [called the haftorah reading], the synagogue leaders sent them a message, “Brothers, if any of you has a word of exhortation for the people, speak!” So Sha’ul stood, motioned with his hand, and said: Acts 13:14–16 (CJB)

Now when he went to Natzeret, where he had been brought up, on *Shabbat* he went to the synagogue as usual. [After the Torah readings concluded] He stood up to read [the haftorah], and he was given the scroll of the prophet Yesha‘yahu. Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written,

These two examples highlight how scriptures illuminate scriptures. There is a sequence of a Torah reading from Moses that cites the Law, then a haftorah reading that illuminates the Torah reading and then everybody discusses the readings until the Sabbath ends.

Without multiple references, most Bible discussions are out of context and create new doctrines never intended by God.

If you destroy or impugn the foundation, what happens when the winds and waves buffet you? Your house will crumble.

We will then no longer be infants tossed about by the waves and blown along by every wind of teaching, at the mercy of people clever in devising ways to deceive. Ephesians 4:14 (CJB)

This is why unstable pastors twist God’s word so often. Once a modern pastor disconnects the older writings from the newer writings, they destabilize the whole body and building.

And think of our Lord’s patience as deliverance, just as our dear brother Sha’ul also wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him. Indeed, he speaks about these things in all his letters. They contain some things that are hard to understand, things which the uninstructed and unstable distort, to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 2 Peter 3:15–16 (CJB)

Trust me, people aren’t stupid. They can smell dogma. They can discern when pastors are twisting scriptures and making stuff up. Many of them lose their faith or walk out when pastors make dogmatic sand castles.

Everyone has an eschatology (opinion of the end of days). That could vary from believing you’ll be taking a dirt nap, which is being buried and there is no afterlife, or believing in reincarnation. Many Christian Churches shun reading the Book of Revelation because it’s so difficult to understand. While others believe they will be Raptured before any of Revelation’s Plagues are meted out on humanity. About 90% of the Christian world is A-millennial, which means we’re in the golden age, the glorious one thousand years referenced here:

Next I saw an angel coming down from heaven, who had the key to the Abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan [the Adversary], and chained him up for a thousand years. It’s peculiar to have reviewed world history and come to the conclusion that all the events of Revelation, known as the end of days, have occurred and we’re in the Millennium, but it is a stubborn belief that’s been around for over one thousand years.

Most Roman Catholics and Lutherans are A-millennialists. Luther, a former Catholic Monk, strongly dissuaded believers from reading Revelation. Many other reformers believed the pope was the Antichrist.

There have been good and bad popes, but none have or ever will be the Antichrist. 

Within Roman Catholicism, there are some that cite the end of days will resemble the Plagues of Egypt, where during the Ninth Plague:

Most of those arguing for three days of darkness cite many age-old mystics from up to one thousand five hundred years ago. There is no way to verify these old prophecies.

Within Protestant Christianity there is a belief in the three days of darkness too. Are these Protestants referencing Catholic Mystics or sharing a personal prophecy? We’ll never know.

In my opinion, the Seven Seals are the Birth Pangs preceding the final seven years of tribulations. The Seven Trumpets blow during the first three and a half years and the Seven Bowls are poured out during the final three and a half years.

In the fifth of seven bowl judgements, darkness covers the land. Is it three days of darkness? We don’t know.

The fifth one poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom grew dark. People gnawed on their tongues from the pain, yet they cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores, and did not turn from their sinful deeds. Revelation 16:10-11 (CJB)

I think it’s best to say there will be darkness during the end of days and not limit it to exactly three days. I choose not to cite any of the ancient Roman Catholic Mystics because their testimonies are vague.

My problem with the prophecy is that the Protestants are constantly predicting three days of darkness for every year since 2017. It is tiresome to refute the claim every year.

Let’s say you want a PhD in Theology from a marginal Christian University. By the time you’re awarded a degree you may know more dogma, but will it enhance your career outside of unlearned churchgoers? No.

I study with Rabbis, Messianic Scholars and Christian Scholars. Even the lowest Rabbi knows Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. They know history, archeology and geography. They have memorized vast sections of scripture and midrash. Their knowledge of Torah and commentaries is overwhelming. Whereas, other than a few of them, my limited knowledge of the prophets exceeds them because they’re not expected to read books like Daniel or certain other books.

Most supposed Christian Bible Scholars aren’t scholars. They know Greek…barely, and they struggle with anything other than denominational dogma. Some have PhD’s on the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. That’s like giving a dog a PhD for burying a bone.

I’ve watched these Christian PhD’s on TV and you can tell they have an honorary degree or the degree is from a lousy university. They have no standards.

The rule: If your Christian PhD only knows Greek, he doesn’t know much. Keep on shopping.

Let’s give you an example of a typical Christian TV Scholar: Perry Stone. Perry studies hard and talks your ear off, but he’s a preacher with tons of dogma. Perry doesn’t know Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic. He’s 62, and shows no ability to learn languages, so he’s limited to preach to and fleece church folks but most scholars would ignore him. I have a scholarly friend that counsels Perry, but Perry’s head is thick with dogma. Nothing scholarly penetrates it.

There are Christian Scholars working in history, archeology, geography and languages that are brilliant. Dr. Michael Heiser is one of them. He’s brilliant. Comparatively, Dr. Heiser couldn’t crack the top 1,000, maybe 10,000, of Rabbinic Scholars.

Based on interviewing many scholars, the greatest are Jewish, Messianic or Hebrew Roots Scholars. They know Torah, the rest of the Bible in various languages and commentaries. They know prophecy, archeology and geography.

The top scholars tend to live in Israel or visit regularly.
